Climate change vastly affects the growth of the Flowering Trees. Hence, the idea of Provincial ENRE Officer Marietta R. Ladjiman to water the flowering trees along the circumference road was commenced with the assistance of the Provincial Governor Hon. Jim Salliman-Hataman and the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) spearheaded by Nixon Alonzo.

Trees need regular maintenance to ensure their long-term health. The environment and those who live in is the source of stressors on trees. Trees do not usually encounter stresses in their natural habitat, and they can often lead to poor growth or even death if they aren’t adequately addressed.

With that, at least ten kilometers of the Flowering Trees along the Highway of the Municipality of Sumisip and five kilometers along the Highway of Lantawan Municipality were sprinkled with water. The PENREO and Community ENRE Officer – District 1 personnel participated in the mentioned activity.
