The Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE) – BARMM, through its Sulu Provincial ENRE Office, has distributed 1,000 mangrove propagules and provided technical assistance for the Risk Resiliency Program istanbul escort Cash for Work Training (RRP-CFW/T) of Sulu Provincial Government in Maimbung, Sulu.

79 RRP-CFW/T beneficiaries joined the mangrove planting activity. It is said to be one of the activities under the Program, including the Community-Based Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and Disater Risk Management House-to-House Advocacy.

The distribution of seedlings for the mangrove planting activity was headed by Provincial ENRE Officer Pao N. Dambong.

RRP-CFW/T is a 10-Day program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development Field Office IX in partnership with the Sulu Provincial Government, in coordination with the Ministry of Social Services and Development-Sulu, MENRE-Sulu, and target Municipal LGUs. Every beneficiary received PHP 3,410 each upon completion of the activity.

RRP-CFW/T is a program that aims to expand the resiliency of vulnerable communities while maintaining the natural and urban built environment.
