COTABATO CITY — The second track for the Supervisory Development Course (SDC) conducted for the officials of the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE) – BARMM at the upper and middle management levels successfully culminated today, March 12, 2021, developing the supervisors of the Ministry to become effective coaches and mentors with their respective colleagues and work partners.

“With this supervisory training, we aim that we adhere to moral governance better by practicing the supervisory skills and mindset that we have built in the past days,” MENRE Assistant Regional Secretary Alindatu K. Pagayao said.

Civil Service Commission-BARMM Director II Dominador E. Gonzales, Jr., Atty. Mohammad Muktadir A. Estrella, Mudjahideen Lauban, CPA, Rhodora T. Caliso, and Ian Philip P. Zurita helped instill essential values in the 51 participants from MENRE, especially on leadership, communication and listening, giving orientation, and performance management.

“Continue with the work, but bring these lectures with you when you go back to your offices and practice them to help you, your colleagues, and your Ministry,” Director Gonzales said.

The SDC Track 2 will serve as a guide for MENRE in the employees’ self-assessment of how they are currently performing as supervisors and what they can do to become better—transitioning from traditional supervisors to coach or mentor-type leaders.
