The Provincial ENRE Office in Tawi-Tawi, through CENRE Officer Abdulmukim J. Maruji, joined the technical team of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Zamboanga and Tawi-Tawi Offices in the reassessment of Solar Power Projects in Tandubas and South Ubian municipalities and the reengineering of their installation design.

The assessment was conducted during a two-day field visit last 30-31 October 2021 as part of the continuing services of the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (MENRE) – BARMM and the IOM to the constituents of Tawi-Tawi.

The Solar Power Project is an initiative of IOM Tawi-Tawi under Sheng Akip and Engr. Alfrazer Juripae to address the power needs of the Rural Health Unit for its primary facilities, especially during emergencies.

PENREO and IOM Tawi-Tawi were also joined by the Manila-based Go Gridless Phil. Corp., PNP Maritime Group, and IPHO represented by Mr. Nashir Tawasil.
