Co-sponsored by PENREO Tawi-Tawi and MSU Senior High School, an environmental workshop and training on biodiversity conservation and ecological solid waste management was held on March 20 at the MSU Marine Science Museum Conference Hall in Sanga-Sanga, Bongao Tawi-Tawi, with 86 graduating senior high school students from MSU TCTO Science High in attendance.

This activity is part of the communication, education, and public awareness program of the Ministry on the conservation and protection of our natural resources. The training-workshop was also conducted to raise awareness and supplement classroom education for the participants.

Time-relevant issues and topics concerning biodiversity and wetlands in the province, solid waste management strategies, and the importance of Geographic Information System (GIS) Application in management were the core inputs administered by PENREO Tawi-Tawi resource speakers to the participating students.
