KORONADAL CITY — The turnover of the remaining Cotabato City land records from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) – Region 12 to the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE) – BARMM is expected this December 2021, said the two environment agencies last 9 November 2021 during a meeting

.MENRE Land Management Services (LMS) Director Eshan Karl O. Mabang and DENR-12 Assistant Regional Director Engr. Mama G. Samaon discussed the anticipated completion of the transmittal and transfer of Cotabato City land-related documents, including approved survey plans and survey records.

“The first two batches of turnover were successful. For the third and final batch of land records of Cotabato City, it will be held on the first week of December 2021,” Mabang said.

In addition, the documentation and inventories of the 63 North Cotabato Barangays land records will begin in January 2022. However, the Public Land Applications (PLAs) will be turned over by the DENR–12 to MENRE as soon as possible.

The series of turnovers will improve land-related services and management of BARMM land records, especially for Cotabato City clients who don’t have to go to Koronadal City anymore to request these services.
