COTABATO CITY — The 2nd MENRE Accomplishments and Performance Assessment (MAPA) was successfully concluded by the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE) – BARMM and served as the 3rd Quarterly Review and Assessment for the Ministry’s programs, activities, and projects (PAPs).

Provincial ENRE Offices and Sectoral Services of MENRE showcased their respective accomplishments for F.Y. 2021 and crafted strategies to better implement the Ministry’s mandate and services.

“While we perform to accomplish our goals and mission, let us embody love for our work. From there, we set our eyes on the practice of moral governance,” BARMM Senior Minister and MENRE Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua said.

The PENREOs and Sectoral Services presentation covered their physical and financial performance under the different performance indicators of the BARMM-MENRE approved 2021 General Appropriations Act of the Bangsamoro (GAAB).

MENRE Deputy Minister Akmad A. Brahim and Chief of Staff Alindatu K. Pagayao also graced the program and expressed their wisdom and support to the Provincial Offices and Sectoral Services.

Deputy Minister Brahim stressed the recognition that the Ministry receives in implementing its banner programs, emphasizing the importance that people feel that the MENRE works for them.

COS Pagayao continued to share that in performing the mandate of the Ministry, he underscored the concept of “ramdam ng tao” and actualizing the vision of the Ministry to serve the people.

Since 2020, MENRE has adopted banner programs focusing on natural resources enforcement, conservation and development, mineral resources regulatory, geological risk reduction, environmental regulations, and energy development to implement its mandate.

Coinciding with the 2nd MAPA, the MENRE organized a Mid-Year Management Conference to address management issues and concerns on protocols, orders, and policies.

The ManCon served as the culminating activity for the 3-day MENRE Accomplishments and Performance Assessment cum Mid-Year Management Conference. This is a regular program of the Ministry to assess and evaluate what is already implemented and what more the Ministry can do to better its performance.
