COTABATO CITY ─ Australian Ambassador to the Philippines, His Excellency Steven J. Robinson and representatives from Australian Aid paid a courtesy call to BARMM-MENRE’s Minister Abduraof Macacua on Friday, May 31, 2019.

The discussion between the parties circulated over the issues faced by the Interim Government and recent updates regarding possible investments in the Bangsamoro Region.

Minister Macacua said that at the time, there are two (2) major difficulties confronted by the BARMM government.

“One, turning the former revolutionary members of the MILF to a “more effective citizens”; and two, the hope of the people – which shall not be failed” said Minister and MILF Chief-of-Staff Macacua.

Furthermore, the Minister shared that there were people in the business sector who expressed interest in exploring the resources in the region. Meanwhile, the Australian Ambassador acknowledged the gravity of problems the current government confronts and applauded the leaders for the accomplishments in the past few months. He also pledged for a continuous support towards the BARMM Government.
