The BARMM-MENRE shall be the primary agency responsible for the exploration, utilization, management, conservation, protection and sustainable development of the region’s environment, natural resources and potential energy sources.

By 2025, the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy envisions to have proactive policies and institution for climate-smart, sustainable natural and energy resources, and healthy environment implemented by empowered human resources guided by the principle of moral governance.

To pursue a meaningful engagement with the Bangsamoro people and other stakeholders, the Ministry manages and sustains its region’s environment, natural resources and potential energy sources for just and lasting peace and development.
