BONGAO, TAWI-TAWI — The Administrative and Finance Services (AFS) of the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE) – BARMM concludes its monitoring and assessment of the Provincial ENRE Offices’ financial and administrative reports with its latest visit to the PENRE Office in Tawi-Tawi last 8-9 November 2021.

The two-day activity covered the review of financial accountability report (FAR) and inventory of property, plant, and equipment in the PENRE Office. The monitoring aims to strengthen transparency and accountability on its budget utilization that is anchored on the principle of moral governance and as the Al-Khalifa of our environment.

The assessment was led by AFS Director Al-Sharif M. Tamburani and was accompanied by Chief Administrative Officer Mohamad Ali R. Dimaren.

MENRE Fiscal Examiner Mohammad Raoff I. Musa discussed to the employees the proper manner of FAR and financial statements preparation as required by the Ministry of Finance and Budget and Management.

Bai Ladja Fersis S. Musali introduced various forms intended for the physical counts and inventory of PPEs, whereas Tarhata D. Candao distributed the remaining attested appointments of newly hired employees and provided an update on the status of recruitment and other HR-related policies.

This visit in Tawi-Tawi is the last in the series of monitoring and assessment by the AFS after the review of the same documents in the PENREOs of Maguindanao and Lanao del Sur last August and the PENREOs of Basilan and Sulu last September.
