In its continued efforts to monitor and conduct an inventory of land records in the Bangsamoro, the Land Management Services (LMS) of the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE) – BARMM consulted with the Provincial ENRE Office of Basilan on 27-28 April 2023.

The LMS Team, headed by Director Eshan Karl O. Land Utilization and Development Division Chief, For. Mohaminah E. Abdullah, and Records Section Chief, Engr. Athena Daryl istanbul escort O. Camsa, led the inspection of land records and commended the provincial offices’ records-keeping initiatives. Despite the lack of facilities, the land records were properly sorted and groomed.

The consultation meeting was attended by land management officers, land special investigators, and records officers of the said provincial office, with the leadership of Community ENRE Officers (CENREO) Ronnie Hantian and Ma. Pilar Tawasil. The LMS technical personnel, Engr. Bolkiah A. Mamadsual, Engr. Abby Fatmia C. Alim, LMO Farouk U. Akmad and AL-Hashr A. Kali, were also present to assist during the meeting and answer queries regarding public land applications and other land-related concerns. During the meeting, the participants deliberated on the land-related issues and concerns in Basilan and collaborated to develop potential strategies aimed at boosting the volume of public land applications.

The ocular visits and consultation meeting were successful in achieving the LMS’s goals, and the Provincial ENRE Offices of Basilan were pleased with the LMS’s efforts.

The same activity has already been carried out by the LMS in the Provincial ENRE Offices of Sulu and Tawi-Tawi in November 2022. The monitoring and inventory will continue in other areas and provinces to ensure that land records in the Bangsamoro are properly maintained, and land-related issues are resolved promptly.
