COTABATO CITY — To ensure that the 2022 physical and financial performance of the Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources, and Energy (MENRE) – BARMM adhere to the 2022 General Appropriations Act of the Bangsamoro (GAAB), the environmental agency held an operational planning workshop for its Sectoral Services and Provincial Offices last 18-20 January 2022 at Al Nor Convention Center, Cotabato City.
Two of the main objectives of the workshop were to disaggregate the Ministry’s targets for 2022 in the PENREOs and to identify priority activities for each of the target performance indicators.
“We need to sustain our operational framework to ensure the strongest future direction for the Ministry,” BARMM Senior Minister and MENRE Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua said.
“This activity shall strengthen that framework and serve as an important guide to help the Ministry succeed in the face of any challenges and find opportunities for strengthening our institutional capacity,” he added.
The workshop also intended to provide indicative fund allocation reflected in the formulated and approved Monthly Disbursement Programs of each of the Sectoral Service and PENREO.
At the end of physical and financial reporting period, the Ministry looks forward to effectively assessing and evaluating its performance in accordance to the 2022 GAAB.
